This detector design is based on an optical isolator and diode bridge to keep the DCC signals completely isolated from your control system. Sensitivity is adjustable via a trim pot, and an LED indicator shows when the block is occupied.
This detector is usable on DC layouts, although detection will be lost when no power is applied to the block, as no current will flow through the detector circuit.
Available with modular jack connections only, and requires a modular input connector. See our section on modular components for more information on modular options.
NOTE: A small voltage drop results from track voltage flowing through the diodes. This can generally be offset via adjustments to the track voltage.
