This connector is specifically for input devices such as pushbuttons, toggle switches, or positional contacts on switch machines. It differs from the standard screw terminal connector in that it also provides connections for ground wires, which are necessary to complete the circuit for typical switches or pushbuttons.
This connector should be plugged into an input port on the S³ or any I/O board. Not for use on output ports.
